Essentials in Crowdfunding

Essentials in Crowdfunding

This course will be delivered virtually via Zoom in two separate 3 hour sessions. The first of these will take place on Monday 27 February at 10.00am and the second will take place on Monday 6 March at 10.00am. It is necessary to attend both sessions to complete the full training.

This course explores the key skills needed to develop and launch a successful crowdfunding campaign. Crowdfunding can be an incredibly powerful tool for raising money and also connecting with your audiences and empowering them in new ways. However, to achieve success, organisations need to be equipped with a clear strategy and to effectively use crowdfunding tools that can support long-term engagement with audiences.

Who is it for?

This course is aimed at those with a specific project in mind which they'd like to support through crowdfunding, those who think they may want to run a crowdfunding campaign in future, and those interested in developing knowledge about how crowdfunding works.

You will learn:

  • How to fit a crowdfunding campaign into your organisation's wider fundraising and marketing strategy
  • The different platforms and funding models available and how to choose
  • Ensuring your pre-launch leads to success
  • How to set a realistic fundraising target and avoid unexpected costs
  • How to reach the right audiences and develop them for the future
