Where are they now?

Kirsty Telford is a cause-driven leader who has been working in charities for the past 20 years. She is proud to be Deputy Director at children’s creative writing charity, Ministry of Stories, and their magical shop, Hoxton Street Monster Supplies. Kirsty held managerial roles in service delivery and beneficiary involvement within the homelessness sector, before moving into fundraising in 2008. She has worked and led across all areas of fundraising and believes relationships are the key to success. She joined the arts and cultural sector, knowing that asset-based and community approaches are key part of the prevention agenda;  and recognising that local charities provide important options for people living in under-resourced areas. She loves that her charity nurtures the confidence, talent and aspirations of young people, as well as bringing creativity to all areas of their work. Kirsty is Vice Chair at Solace Women’s Aid, a large London charity, which strives to end violence against women and girls.
