Crescent Community Radio has been broadcasting from Devon Street since Dec 1999, As a Community broadcaster, the charity's key requirements are Social Gain and Community Participation. Crescent Community Radio's core focus is mainly the audience of Asian/Muslim listeners, but not restricted to this community. Recently the charity has delivered two Oral History projects, which has led to the organisation being seen as an Oral History Community project, and not just a broadcaster. Station output is in different community languages, with an estimated reach of around 4,500 regular listeners in the Rochdale area.
Having established our credentials and broadcasting skills over the years, we are now concentrating more on community development work in recent years.
