Upper Norwood Library Trust strives to remodel and sustain a library of the 21st century offering books, community, wellbeing, enterprise, cultural and performance arts opportunities all under one roof. The Trust has two main objectives: to diversity its funding streams and achieve financial growth and sustainability for the library hub; and to protect the library hub, assure its future and ensure the community can access services they cannot access elsewhere. UNLH is managed by a very small team, supported by 91 volunteers.
"We are entrepreneurial by nature – first library of things in a library in the UK, community bar, performance arts space, livestream service, performance arts school for children, holiday camps and more. All part of our drive to diversify and generate our own income in the long term to protect and sustain the library."
