Victoria Baths Trust

Victoria Baths is Grade II* listed and perhaps Britain’s finest historic swimming pool. It is situated in a relatively deprived, very diverse area of inner city Manchester. Historically the Baths has played an important part in the health and well-being of local people and is now, in its partially restored state, a very popular heritage and events venue attracting around 30,000 visitors per year. The majority of these visits are by people who are not traditional heritage visitors, but who experience the Baths when they come for weddings and a wide range of other events. Since its original closure in 1993 the Trust has been working hard to restore the building. The Trust plans to continue the restoration which will strengthen its financial resilience and attract new and diverse audiences.

"We believe the Baths has huge potential to develop further as a heritage asset for both our local and wider Manchester communities."
