Cost of Living Enquiry - your chance to get involved

Between 2022 and 2024, we will be launching a series of Enquiries in relation to challenging areas of arts, culture and heritage fundraising, with a view to informing future policy and research. Our last Enquiry focused on the challenges of Ethics in Fundraising which will be published in October 2022.

We are now recruiting for our Cost of Living Enquiry, to explore how arts organisations, their audiences, donors and funders are adapating and could adapt during this challenging time. The Enquiry will be based around several questions including:

  • How do we best support arts, culture and heritage organisations to navigate the cost of living crisis?
  • What are organisations doing practically to manage these challenges?
  • What can we learn from other sectors or the mainstream charity sector that would support good practice in weathering challenging economic times?
  • Is there any sector-wide stance or position that would support organisations during the cost of living crisis and which might help funders of the arts decide how to support?
  • What are the implications of the cost of living crisis on fundraising strategy and target setting within arts, culture and heritage organisations?

If you are working in-house in an arts, culture or heritage fundraising team and would be interested in working collaboratively with a team of fundraisers to come up with new ideas and solutions, we want to hear from you.

The deadline for applications is Friday 30 September 2022.
